Girl trouble!! needs advice?

So, i met this girl on an internet website about 7 months ago, we talked on it for a while then we started talking on the phone. I realized that i have fallen for this girl and she is perfect and beautiful. We then started to date, so i decided i want to go visit her and everything was amazing. We live about 8 hours apart. Then school started and she told me that there was another guy in the picture because she was getting lonely and she needed someone closer. So she broke up with me, and she said she still wanted to be my best friend, and basically nothing changed between us just when we got off the phone we did not say i love you anymore. Between her and the other guy nothing happened because she found out he was a jackass. I then went and visited her again because i am still madly in love with this girl and she is all i can ever think about. She told me that she would be with me its just the distance that's keeping us apart. It was around a month ago was the last time i saw her, and since then she has gone to jail twice for drinking in school and stealing. Also she hangs out with guys all the time because she says girls are bitchy. Do you think i should follow my heart and stay with this girl, or do you think i should move on? All my friends at school say i should move on but i don't want to listen to them... or should i?
