College girl weight loss advice?

Okay so i know im a healthy weight, I'm an 18 year old 5'6';, 130 pound girl but the problem is since I started my freshman year i've gained 5 pounds. and at the start of my senior year in high school i was 120 pounds. so in a year and a half i've gained 10 pounds which obviously isnt a good thing. I try to get some kind of cardio exercise every other day, for instance i walk up the 12 flights of stairs in my dorm once a day. but i still gain weight! I eat pretty healthy, salads turkey avocado etc. I usually go to the gym and burn 150-200 calories running/walking on the treadmill 3 times a week. im not the best runner. do you guys think using the elliptical would be better? any feedback would be appreciatedCollege girl weight loss advice?
One pound of fat is 3,500 calories, roughly. 150-200 cals 3 times a week on the treadmill eats 450-600 calories a week which means the treadmill is a waste of your time. This is about the amount (500) you would be looking at losing every day - that is, consuming 500 calories more than you eat every day.

As for walking up 12 flights of stairs, that too is a very low caloric drain. I suggest you start to run the two flights up as fast as you can without injuring yourself. If it's too easy overall, try more. Generally, at the end you'll want to arrive winded enough that it's very uncomfortable to try to breathe at the same rate as you do when resting.

When I was your height (and lower) I had already gotten the habit of taking stair steps two at a time, but avoid doing that unless it's too tedious to run up stairs touching every step.

Also, to give your workouts a double purposes, try to involve your body's weakest parts in them. I'm suspecting that, you being a girl, this would mean your upper body and arms.College girl weight loss advice?
HI,

TO BURN MORE CALORIES U SHOULD DO GOOD WORK OUTS WHICH CANT GIVE U SO MUCH TIREDNESS BUT CAN HELP U TO REDUCE FAT. LIKE YOGA IS A RIGHT WAY FOR U , IN YOGA THERE ARE SO MANY TYPES OF YOGA AND SOME BRANCHES OF YOGA ARE SO HELP FULL TO REDUCE QUICK WEIGHT.

HATHA YOGA, POWER YOGA AND HOT YOGA ARE GOOD EXAMPLE FOR THIS. JUST NEED TO GIVE SOME TIME THEN U CAN GET GOOD BENEFITS.
Treadmill, elliptical, you're still doing cardiovascular activities and it still burns the same amount of calories.

Your metabolism isn't going to be the same as it was in high school. Instead of focusing on burning calories, focus on improving your health. Keep a food diary and make sure you're following a healthy and reasonable meal plan--food diaries show us a lot more than we realize!

If you're still at a healthy weight, I wouldn't worry. Pay a visit to your college's health office and just ask for a physical. They charge the visit to your student account, even if you have insurance or not, if you request it. They can give you the best informed decision if you even need to lose weight--you might've grown a little taller, you might've put on more muscle mass from climbing stairs and walking to class. Weight is not as important to focus on as body fat percentages and muscle mass.

Go to your doctor to see if you need to lose weight and get their advice. It will be much more informative and beneficial than asking us, when we know nothing about you, your physical activity, your frame, and the like.
